Coal Lump Cookies

Today I made chocolatey cookies. The recipe was from the Great British Bake-off Celebrations book, which I got for Christmas from my Auntie.

These contained a lot of chocolate, but not too many other ingredients - stuff you would have in your store cupboard and fridge anyway.

They were quite easy to make, although I did end up in a bit of a mess when I whisked the mixture together!

I baked them in batches and unfortunately had the oven slightly too high for the first batch, which meant they were a bit burnt. However, the next lot were perfect.

They have a very gooey middle, which my family liked a lot.

I rate these as 6 out of 10 for difficulty and 10 out of 10 for deliciousness.

I will definitely be making these again!
